VIPASSANA COURSE

Essel Group encourages its employees to attend Vipassana meditation course. These courses are conducted at Vipassana Centers across over 100 locations. Vipassana courses provides a thorough and guided introduction to the practice of Vipassana meditation. It presents teachings as non-sectarian and open to people of all faiths or no faith. "Liberation" in this context means freedom from impurities of mind and, as a result of the process of cultivating a pure mind, freedom from suffering. Vipassana meditation is an experiential scientific practice, through which one can observe the constantly changing nature of the mind and body at the deepest level, a profound understanding that leads to a truly happy and peaceful life. Vipassana is a universal, scientific method towards purifying the mind. It is the practical essence of the teachings of the Buddha, who taught Dhamma - the Universal Law of Nature.


Vipassana Meditation Courses
Vipassana is taught through a 10-day residential course. The Vipassana Meditation Centers established throughout the world offer thorough and guided introduction to the practice of Vipassana meditation.

1) Employees of Esselgroup can attend these courses, 10 days of time spent on attending the course is not counted out of the leave entitlements of employees.
2) There are no payments that employees are expected to make towards attending the course. Employees may, if so desires contribute voluntarily any amount of fund as donation, however these are completely voluntary and left upto employees to decide if they wish to donate. There are no charges for either the course or for the lodging and boarding during the course.
3) Employees across any location can avail of the benefit at the nearest available centre.
4) Employees can connect with their respective HR location resources for any queries or assistance for the same.


Process for registration:
1) Read about the course on www.dhamma.org.
2) Discuss the dates of your course with your HOD, so as to plan the dates of the course
3) Register for the course at http://www.dhamma.org/en/bycountry/.
4) Send the details of your course and your HOD's approval to your respective HR.
